Happy New Year From Team Holmes!!!!!!!!
I am so excited I even have a few moment to write you guys. Juju is asleep at the moment so I can catch you up on a few things.
So many things have been going on over the past few months. First, I was put on bed rest with a placenta previa right after Thanksgiving. I was advised not to lift anything including my 18 pound baby and it has been trying to say the least. Juju will be 10 months this weekend. Can you believe it? Where on earth does the time go?????
I did get to celebrate with Hubby as he made Manager of the Month at his job! He really is the hardest working man I have ever met!
Christmas was awesome!
Baby Moon was also amazing and we found out we had a super Ju on our hands. I guess he wanted to take his water with him!
So, the last time we talked, I was going on my baby moon and boy am I glad I did because I had no idea all of this craziness was about to take place. But we’re back and we are excited to meet our little one and are super excited for all of the things God has in store for us for 2018. For the New Year, we decided to do our annual Vision Board Party, where we put our heads together and script our lives for success over the next year. I stopped doing New Year’s Resolutions years ago. They never work out! We always say we want to lose weight, we join a gym, then by mid February the gym is empty again.
The Vision Board allows you to see your goals for the entire year and helps shift your mindset so that you can start manifesting them through action plans. Here are some categories that you can use to script your life for success! One suggestion I have though when making your vision board is to believe that you can achieve all that you want and to be as specific as you can. Being specific shifts your mind and helps you spring into action while being vague just puts your dreams in the “one day” category. If you say you want to lose weight, specify how many pounds you want to lose and how you see yourself and your mind will begin to shift and come up with way for you to take immediate action.
For Example: You want to lose weight right?
So be specific! It’s okay to say I want to lose 60 pounds by October 31, 2018. I see myself going from a size 12 to a size 8 and in a bikini by the summer. Being that specific forces you to an action plan of how you are going to accomplish this goal. So you begin an action plan of changing your diet and exercising regularly to make this vision your reality. Here are a few goal categories you can use to script your 2018!
- Personal and Social Goals
- Business/Work/Career Goals
- Family Goals
- Financial Goals
- Travel Goals
- Connection Goals: Who would you like to meet?
- Recognition Goals: What do I want to be recognized for?
- Home Goals
- Health and Fitness Goals
We are routing for you to have a wonderful 2018. The best is yet to come for sure. I am 30 weeks pregnant this week! EEEEK! That means that in 10 weeks or less, I get to meet my little Prince number 2, but that also means that Prince Julian is going to be 1 year old already! We will continue to keep you updated and blog our journey. Continue to be blessed!
Love you guys,
