To Do: Read Proverbs 19
Focus Point: Proverbs 19:13 & 14
Verse 14 in the New Living Translation says, ” Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
Try this experiment and go to the faucet in either the bathroom or the kitchen and turn the water on. Then turn it almost all the way off but not quite all the way. Now listen to how annoying that dripping sound is. That is how the scripture says a quarrelsome wife is.
Let’s look at some synonyms of quarrelsome: argumentative, confrontational, belligerent, combative, contentious and antagonistic.
Are you someone who is never satisfied with anything your husband does. You always have to have your way and you find yourself picking fights over the smallest things? Just take a moment to think about it and see if this is you.
If you find that you are quarrelsome, go to the Father and surrender that area to him because it may be you aiding in the failure of your marriage. Remember that you are the SOLUTION to a problem. Constant dripping is a problem; it is a sign that there is a leak in the faucet.
It is God alone who can help you to be understanding. Ask him to show you how to be wise, understanding, and sensible when it comes to your marriage.
